Trey Songz Responds To Jovan Belcher’s Suicide + NFL Agrees To Care For Belcher’s Daughter

By now, most people living in the United state and or a fan of football have learned about the death Kansas Chief linebacker, Jovan Belcher. Belcher shot his longtime girlfriend/mother of his three-month old daughter, Kasandra Perkins on Sunday morning [Dec. 2nd] then shortly thereafter he fled to his football stadium where he committed suicide in front of his coaches.

New reports have surface from Perkins [friends] – stating that Belcher was angry that Perkins had returned home late from a Trey Songz concert [where she attended with her girls], the two got into a heated exchange at their home, and then the unexpected happen. Well, Trey Songz has since responded to the ‘cynics’ [who assume his involvement]. In two caption statement on twitter, Trey says:

“I don’t delete tweets, nor am I insensitive to death. I had no knowledge of the murder/suicide incident until now & even still…”

“As sad as it may be, it has nothing to do with me. Sending prayers up to the families and friends of the people involved “

Other reports suggest that Belcher was not home when Perkins returned from the Trey Songz concert and had been partying with another woman name Brittani Glass. You can that story here

In related news, the NFL  will  provide financial support Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins 3-month old daughter Zoey from now through college.  This agreement comes under the NFL’s  “beneficiary of the collective bargaining agreement” which the league signed last year.

According to NFL.com,  Zoey, who is 3 months old, will receive $108,000 a year for four years. When she turns 5, she will get $48,000, then $52,000 a year until she is 18 or 23, depending on whether she goes to college.

Our continued prayers for Jovan Belcher’s and Kasandra Perkins family.
