The barbie rapper disappointed 11 million barbz and kenz yesterday [Sunday, April 15th] after she abruptly deleted her twitter account following a mild feud with one of her fans who leaked a few of her new songs off of her new album before the it’s officially release date on April 3rd..
The twitter drama began after Nicki found out that Nicki Daily [which is hosted by her biggest fan site] posted songs from Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded before the album’s recent April 3 release date. As any artist should, Nicki takes her craft and music very seriously and felt that she was totally disrespected by her fan. The feud heightened after Nicki blocked Nicki Daily’s twitter. A few Barbz and Kenz took Nicki side while many others took to Nick Daily side and throwing many harsh criticisms to the barbie rapper.
It all became a bit overwhelming and Nicki deleted her account but not without making it clear that her “so called loyal fans” went against her and therefore she is seeking new barbz and kenz instead.
Nicki’s final tweets went as follows:
And that’s exactly why I’m paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh – don’t cry 4 me Argentina”
On 2nd thought I’ll just follow a new set of barbz. The ones I follow r very mean and ratchet. *side eyes them*
Exactly. Posted leaked music! *deletin twttr* RT @NickiBarbPink: @NickiDaily kno why they got blocked.
Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f-cking bye
And then Nicki hit the delete button. Nicki Minaj and NickiDaily twitter was accounts have both been cancelled and the website[NickiDaily] has been stripped of it’s content and left with a track form Nicki’s first album “Dear Old Nicki”
Nick landed the #1 album in the country with her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded which sold 253,000 copies in its first week. Clearly, the price of fame is a hefty one and Nicki is thinking twice about paying her fees for superstardom.
