#FordHBCU F-150 Truck Tour Initiative To Support Black Colleges and Universities!

Ford’s longtime commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities continues with six stops on the Ford F-150 Truck Tour, traveling to homecomings and festivals across the nation.

The tour gives attendees the opportunity to support their favorite schools by test-driving the latest lineup of F-150 pickups, including their platinum XLT and Lariat edition.

Through a collaboration with the Tom Joyner Foundation, Ford continues to show its support and dedication to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities community.

This weekend Ford F-150 Truck Tour made its presence at North Carolina Central’s Homecoming. Along the per usual ‘turn up’ that happens at most HBCU’s, Ford station highlight at NCCU campus lawn was a big hit with its “Drive 4 Ur Community Initiative” and prize giveaways for students and alum attendees.

Ford amplified its presence with its “Drive 4 Ur Community Initiative”. Ford donates $20 per Ride & Drive, for a total of up to $6,000 at each stop, to support the Tom Joyner Foundation. The donation will add to the more than $65 million already dedicated to serving Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their students.

Hip Hop artist A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie was the headline and ford ambassador for the event alongside Lil Mo and newcomer singers prior to the homecoming football game.

NCCU student Jordan Thomas was the college recipient winner for this year’s event. As part of Ford’s F-150 initiative, one student per campus is gifted with a Ford prize package.

” For More Than Three Decades, Ford Has Been Committed To Implementing & Supporting Initiatives That Encourage & Inspire Young People To Pursue Their Dreams.

With The F-150 Truck Tour, We’re Excited To Extend The Commitment To Support Historically Black Colleges and Universities ” – says Ford Multicultural Communications Manager, Dibrie Guerrero.
