Last night, I had the pleasure of attending Colgate Optic White High Impact White fabulous pre-reception event held at the Americana – Hotel patio NYC. Singers, Jazmine Sullivan and Elle Varner were in attendance as well as Essence Beauty and Style Editor, Pamela Edwards Christiani and Colgate Designer Smile squad member and Editor-in-Chief of FashionBombDaily.com, Claire Sulmers.
Christiani and Sulmers hosted a very informative Colgate beauty conversation where they spoke about the newest must have beauty product, Colgate’s new Optic White High Impact White toothpaste – a product that enhances your most valuable feature, your smile. Delivering 4 shades, visible whiter teeth in 6 weeks, starting in just three days [when brushing twice daily]. I discussed my experience with this product in a recent article thus far and I concur that it does deliver on its promise.
The conversation soon turned into a discussion on the passing of icnonic entertainer, Prince. Jazmine Sullivan and Elle Varner spoke on his influence on their careers and how his music has impacted their lives. The event featured catered goodies including the Optic White cupcakes and branded Essence cookies were created by I.M Pastry Studio.
Off to part two, invited guests were treated to a free uber ride as we made our way to the Essence Best In Black Beauty Awards event at Mercantile Annex studio in NYC. So many women in media and entertainment came out to support Essence’s annual event.
Guests got a first hand look at some of the best beauty products [out now], and guests were also treated to delighted cotton candy , carmelized popcorn by Essence Beauty box, signature cocktails, and free items from many of our favorite beauty brands, Miss Jessies, Mizani, Shea Moisture, Aussie Moist, Carol’s daughter, Ouidad, Creme Of Nature, Neutrogena, and much more. I caught with many of my favorite women in the business and chatted for a few. Take a look below:

I walked away with many beauty products to use for my hair as we enter the summer season and I also received Essence latest magazine issues with cover features of actress, Taraji P Henson, and singer, Ciara along with many beauty tips, relationship advice and more included inside.
