Love & Hip Hop Atlanta premiered its fifth season Monday night [April.4th] and behold was ‘new drama’ , new casts, and ‘new story lines’ that lit up social media. The popular story of the night was undoubtedly Mimi Faust’s announcement of her new boo ‘ Chris’ who was a female.
Mimi threw an extravagant all white affair party to make it ‘official’ that she has switched teams a few months ago when she met Chris , and she’s ‘happy’. Mimi reveals to her audience: “After All The Mess That I Been Threw With Men, I Got Me A Girlfriend“.
Now, Mimi is known to bring ‘something new’ per season, but we also find out during the reunion shows that she [Mimi] is the author, narrator, and actor of her ‘new story line.
Last season we learned that her triangle affair with Stevie J and Joseline was not all bad at first when the trio were having threesomes [upon Mimi’s approval] but Stevie J’s decision to begin a relationship with Joseline was the final straw [season 1] . In Season 3, Mimi brought us the infamous shower rod ‘sex tape’ leak of her and rebound beau ‘Nikko’ [who we learned in season 4 was married to another woman the entire time] was actually leaked by Mimi and Nikko and not by a random person at the airport.
Now that we took a trip down memory lane, it’s of no surprise why many thoughts were racing during last night airing. Mimi’s friends seemed ‘stunned’ by the news but they showed their love and support nonetheless. However some of the responses were similar to the public consensus.

Stevie J who is the father of Mimi’s daughter Eva has now come forward to TMZ this week and says he doesn’t believe Mimi is a lesbian and contends that she is [yet again] promoting a good story line.
In closing, who Mimi chooses to share her bedroom pleasures is her personal right and choice but repeatedly we have witnessed Mimi use her public platform to simply further her personal agenda [at no expense] and thus one cannot help to think about the message and impact it will have on her daughter’s upbringing.
