Vivian Green bring returns with a brand new album ‘VIVID’ after a three year haitus. Known for her signature ballads hit songs like,‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ ‘Beautiful’ & ‘What Is Love’ [my personal favorites], Vivian is taking us on her new journey of music which includes more uptempo and feel good tracks like the lead single ‘Get Right Back To My Baby’.
” We wanted to make an album that was a reflection of who I am – this being my life as a woman. A lot of our past music was very sad. My first album was definitely really sad. Second one was very angry. [laughs]. What I think alot of people don’t realize is when I wrote my first album, I wasn’t even 21 years old yet. And by the time it released, I turned 22. I was a young girl coming of age, and I just had this terrible heartbreak. “
” That’s where ‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ came from and every song on that album. I’m a very different person now. I understand that people love that stuff , but I want people to understand where I was at that point in life, age-wise, everything. I can’t possibly be in that place now. Last week I had the pleasure of attending Vivian Green’s official album release party in New York City.The event held by StormPRAgency was filled with industry tastemakers, and media personnel and tv personalities, who enjoyed fiesty flavoring catering, and custom made jello shots by Latima Nicole.
All persons who pre-ordered the album with proof of purchase received special gift bags from Miss Jessie’s which included her popular hair products . Can you say whoop-whoop! Talk about a two-for one treat. DJ Olivia Dope kept the crowd on their feet with Vivian’s new single video flashing on the big screen through out the event.
