Oh, If I had a flute and a horn I would be blowing the whistle in salute to the irony of Wale’s new album title.
The hip hop industry has become so saturated with to many wannabe ‘chiefs’; too many bosses, ballers, gangsta’s, pimps, tricksters, and so on and so forth. With such typical stereotypes, the anticipation for such artist album has reach an all time low resulting in fans opting to listen to the digital version for convincing before purchasing the hard copy.
In return, hip hop artists that are looking to break the chain cycle can’t even be heard unless they set off a mysterious marketing alarm to gain public interest.
Luckily, MMG artist, Wale already won over his fans upon his music entry and thanks to his good music, we’re eagerly awaiting the debut of his new album.
On the new cover art, Wale sits alone in a coffee shop facing an empty ‘tea cup’ with no love interest. Is he awaiting someone? Maybe he’s just gazing at someone, something, or maybe its’ all about nothing? hence; why we love it.
