Success Can Make People Say And Do Crazy Things!
In recent ignorant news, Bloomberg University baseball player, Joey Casselberry issued an offensive remark to 13 year old American little league baseball pitcher Mo’ne Davis. Disney announced that it would be releasing a movie about Mo’ne Davis in light of her baseball and basketball accomplishments, her honorary as AP Female Athlete Of The Year, and her new book entitled ‘Remember My Name’.
One’s Success, often does not very well with some folks, and in this case, Casselberry was displeased with the recent news.
Casselberry tweeted:
” Disney is making a movie about Mo’ne Davis. What A Joke! That SL*T got rocked by Nevada. “
Social media went up in flames with huge criticism streaming left and right towards Casselberry resulting in him deleting his twitter page following an apology to Davis.
Bloomberg University has suspended Casselberry indefinitely following his insensitive remarks.
However, Mo’ne took the ladder in her classy response . In a recent interview with ESPN, Mo’ne advocated that Casselberry be given a second chance despite his remarks in a private email to the University.
” Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone deserves a second chance, and I mean its not, [pause] I know he didn’t mean it in that type of way, and I know alot people get tired of seeing me on tv, but sometimes you just got to think about what you’re doing before you actually do it. I know right now he’s really hurt, and he’s worked hard to get to where he is, [so yeah] , it’s pretty hurt on my part, but I know he’s hurt even more.
I know he would’ve wanted to take back that tweet, and if that were me I would want to take it back so why not give him a second chance.”
One Love PLUM’s!
It seems to me that he did mean it just like it sounded. So how about this compromise. He can’t play this year. Train perhaps but he’s benched during actual games. If he behaves himself, next year he can play. But if he pops his mouth off again it’s game over for good
