Dame Dash Strikes Again!

Dame Dash recent visit to Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club in promotion of his new independent film ‘Losaidas’ took a huge left turn and was overshadowed because Dame had a entirely different agenda for this particular interview. Dame came to ask questions and drop jewels on entrepreneurship; not the opposite.

In the explosive interview, Dame set an early tone with the Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne, DJ Envy ,and Angela Yee, stating that he will not be discussing any questions regarding Jay-Z after DJ Envy [whose known Dame for 20 years plus] asked him to give the people the history of how he met Jay.

Dame and DJ Envy got into a verbal spat when Dame explains the difference between being a ‘boss’ and ‘worker’.

” Dame says everyone should aspire to be a boss, especially men with nuts. No middle men is necessary in the 21st century where the internet provides the direct consumer market. He went on to explain to Envy that it was useless for him to work for a radio company [that he has shares of] yet he could not hire his son at that very same company. ‘Why are you making another man rich’ asks Dame…. Just like these superheroes, Batman, Superman, did they have bosses?…..I want to be my kids superhero and you should too!

and Dame didn’t stop there,

” Dame called out Charlamagne for his inaccurate line of questioning on alleged rumors of his past life as Rocafella Records CEO and nicknamed him ‘Chatty Patty’. Dame says gossiping is for females. You guys get paid for gossiping, all I’m saying is do something else. By the end of interview, Dame offered to work with the trio on a new entrepreneurship venture that will allow them to be ‘boss’ of their talents instead. ”

I enjoyed Dame’s ‘keeping it real’ attitude, and ‘passion’ in educating the people on the value of entrepreneurship but I think Dame missed the memo on how to ‘convey a message’ when speaking to friends.  ‘What You Do’ and ‘How You Go About Doing It’ is key.
