There was no questions off limit, and Dame Dash was holding no punches with his responses in his recent interview with ‘Sway In The Morning’ .
Dame say that film director, Lee Daniels still owes him his 2 million dollar investment that he gave to Daniels for the movie ‘. Dame says that the Daniels promised to issue payment following the release of ‘Precious’, ‘The Butler’ and he even offered him a role in ‘Empire’ but Dash says all he wants is his money back.
The former Rocafella manager stepped away from the music business nine years ago, following his split from his longtime friend and artist, Jay-Z and dismantle of Rocafella Records. When a photo of the two surfaced last year, many of us want to know whether the two had mended their bond, and whether a possible Rocafella union was underway.
The American entrepreneur has moved on from the music arena. With the exception of Kanye who he teamed up with for his new released film ‘Losaidas’ Dash’s friendship with former rocafella artist, Beanie Seigel, Jim Jones, and Jay-Z are still estrange.
On Kanye signing with Jay-Z during their Rocafella Records demise:
“Nobody walked away from me…. I actually dropped Kanye to be honest, and it was because of us not agreeing with what he was doing, but that’s water under the bridge. He chose to make the decision that he felt was right for himself.
For the last fiver or six years there is nothing that Kanye can do for me. He’s trying to do bigger things than what’s done. He’s putting up his own money, he’s staying active,….. and I am happy for Ye, he’s on his path and he’s tapping into many things, so I need from him what he needed from me when he came to Rocafella, so I’m not mad at Ye. “
Dash says he’s never made enough money with Beanie Seigel so he doesn’t understand the rumor that suggests that Seigel he didn’t get paid for their joint venture businesses [ie: State Property clothing line, and movie].
” What people need to understand is that Dame Dash did not cut no checks, you know who cut the checks, Lions Gate, and Sony Music. But when something bad happens my name is mentioned. This is one of those things, where the artist may have been told something by a lawyer whose robbing him, and in turn the artist now feels that they’re being wronged or cut out of money, but they never discuss it with their manager. “
Dash went on to say that a personal rift occurred between he and Jim Jones and he’d learned that two respond differently when confronted with a problem. Jones issued public outburst on Instagram against Dash.
‘He [Jim] has no respect for ‘the Old G’ [a distinquished gentlemen; one who paid their dues] ‘ and so you know that’s like the street code of ethics; you never disrespect an old ‘G’. I’ll always have love for him, I got love for his mother, and his kids but with some people you have to allow them to stay over there and love them from a distance. “
Dash admits his innate competitive skill branded the success of Rocafella Records but says he wanted to dig in other pursuits after Rocafella.
” I invest my money in alot of places……there is no money in the music game; one must create different streams of income, I travel the world, and I look for cool people, creatives like myself.” utters Dash. Dash latest pursuits include his own clothing line ‘DD Poppington’, and his Netflix inspired film venture.

Dash made some shocking accusations about Jay-Z. Dash says he doesn’t have a relationship with Jay-Z at the moment. According to Dash, Jay-Z has paperwork with a Fed informant named Desiree______ . Dash says that he’d seen the evidence and will need to have a conversation with Jay-Z before the two can speak about anything else.
” This is the one time that the paper did scare me, and I was like there has to be some truth to it. When I read about his affiliation with informants, that he’s in business with certain people . It’s tricky for me to say, but based on where I’m from, I can’t have nothing to do with that . “
