Reality star and entrepreneur Benzino, along with his magazine, Hip Hop Weekly, hosted a listening party over the NBA All Star Weekend for his fiancée Althea Heart’s debut EP, Controversy, where he announced her new deal with AMS Music Entertainment to release the project later this spring.
The party was held as a feature of the Hip Hop Weekly’s Pelle Pelle Interview Lounge that took place in conjunction with the Tiny’s Tequila Art Of Luxury Beauty/Grooming Lounge, hosted by Tiny and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Demetria McKinney.
“Empire” star Serayah [below] was one of the first to arrive, and gave an exclusive interview with Hip Hop Weekly Editor-In-Chief Cynthia Horner. Marcus Scribner from ABC’s hit TV show ‘Black-ish’,” arrived early as well, and was gifted with an official Pelle Pelle “NYC” varsity jacket.
Tara Wallace from ‘Love & Hip Hop NY’ received a special Valentine’s Day ‘Heartbreaker’ jacket after her interview. While cameras were rolling in the Hip Hop Weekly Interview Lounge, guests in attendance were treated to luxury spa services and delicious cocktails from Tiny’s Tequila. Tiny was a gracious host and took photos with all of her fans.
Benzino later took over the DJ booth and was excited to play songs from his fiancée Althea “Thi Thi” Heart’s debut EP for the crowd of media and industry guests. The new album will be a joint venture between AMS Music Entertainment and Benzino, who executive produced the project. The EP includes the previously-released single “Ghetto Love,” produced by Chucky Thompson, which fans will remember Heart performing on an episode of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” last year. Her new single and video, “Mixed Emotions,” will be released in March.
Benzino and Thi Thi have a growing fan base who are inspired by their true love and openly romantic activities. The reality star couple, who starred in last season’s record breaking season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” are rumored to be announcing a new reality show soon. They are currently in production with Centric for a one-hour “Being” special focusing on the engaged duo that is set to air later this spring.
