Sza: ‘Ice Moon’ + ‘Z’ Album Is #PLUMCERTIFIED

SZA

It’s #Sensual Saturday and today we feature TDE artist, SZA.  Before, you criticize for me being being super late with the talent of Ms. Solana Rowes, I take full responsibility for my actions.

I came across Sza’s music via a friend who advised me to take a look at rising stars that are ‘shining’ in their own right without the desire for super-stardom.  Now, I have witnessed Sza’s live vocals  when she performed  ‘Poetic Justice’ with Kendrick Lamar at 2013 American Music Awards, but I never did the follow up on the first female of TDE roster ; hence why I did not know about ‘Z’ album until recent.

I took a listen over the weekend and I’ve been hooked ever since. Aside from her natural hair and  beauty aesthetic which is breathtaking, the 24-year old has a beautiful voice, and ‘unraveling’ lyrics that allows you daydream, and think deeply; its almost like you’re trying to figure out what is she trying to convey in her songs.

One of my favorite songs ‘Ice Moon’ is featured on her  ‘S’ EP  and it’s by far one of her best records with stand out lines like ” I Keep One White Candle To Maintain Purity” , ” Show Me The Way To Your Hiding Place”, followed by  “Go To Church If Your Scared  on the chorus “.

Other tracks that grave my attention are  ‘HiiJack’, ‘Babylon’ [feat. Kendrick Lamar] , Warm Winds [feat. Isaiah Rashad] , ‘Child’s Play’ [feat. Chance The Rapper] , ‘Green Mile’, and ‘Omega’. If you haven’t done so already, get your copy of Sza’s new album ‘Z HERE ‘; it’s purchase worthy.

Bonus:  Another favorite song of mine, Sza ‘Teen Spirit’
