Beyonce broke the internet following the debut of her new video ‘7/11’ this past weekend. Hands down Beyonce is UNMATCHED. These days ‘Yonce’ is less concerned with the industry NORMS. Similar to when she dropped her album on the without no promotion at all, Bey unveils her new video which is simple, firtatious, playful, and involves a whole lot of dance choreography and twerking.
Sidebar: The Bey stans will be having a field day with copy cat videos; just watch the aftermath unfold.
This seems to be one of the most east expensive videos [which I believe was her intent], but it has major ‘Sasha Fierce’ attitude. She and her girlfriend girls drink from red cups , play a game of dice, and conduct silly behavior in various hotel suites, like average women, and there’s much slick talk towards the competition of course.
I think Bey purposefully produced a simple song video geared towards her younger fans. Will this weigh on her music legacy? Probably not because majority of her 20 million plus viewers approve her new video.
Beyonce’s self titled album is now on Spotify. TIME says:
“A platinum edition of Beyonce with a six new remixes and bonus tracks is now available on the music streaming service. The album, released as a surprise last December, was originally only available as an iTunes exclusive but was later released on CD as well. Spotify previously only had a couple of big singles from the album available to stream. “
