Nicki Minaj is the the queen of her throne on the cover of GQ magazine November issue.  Inside, the rapper talks about her controversial ‘Ananconda’ video which she claims was not a big deal that people hyped it up to be. Minaj also dished on her first job as a waiter at Red Lobster.

Here’s a few excerpts:

” I don’t know what there is to really talk about. I’m being serious. I just see the video as being a normal video.”

” I think the video is about what girls do. Girls love being with other girls and when you go back to us being younger, we would have slumber parties and we’d be dancing with our friends “

Nicki went on to say that the banana-peel scene was just a little humor to tone down the sexual connotations that were implied at the start of the scene.

” It’s just cheeky, like a funny story. I’m chopping up the banana. Did you realize that? At first I’m being sexual with the banana, and then it’s like, Ha-ha, no.”

” That was important for us to show in the kitchen scene, because it’s always about the female taking back the power. If you want to be flirty and funny that’s fine but always keeping the power and the control in everything. “

Nicki admits that customer service was not the best job for her. “I like dealing with people, but I don’t really like a lot of bulls-t.. So may be customer service wasn’t the nest job for me – says Minaj. “
