Singer Mila J is burning up the music charts with her sexy singles. Earlier this year we were introduced to the star as a solo artist with her smashing summer banger ‘Smoke, Drink & Break-Up’.  Mila J tells PLUM that the song title was a direct reflection of a past relationship.

‘It Was Toxic,  And Sadly That’s All We Did To Stay Together, So I Had To Let It Go – says Mila

Last week we caught up with the singer at her live showcase at SOB’s in NYC, and inquired about her upcoming EP, M.I.L.A [Made In Los Angeles], along with a few rumored questions surrounding her current love life/ rumored relationship with r&B hearthrob, Trey Songz, and the music comparisons between her and her sister singer,  Jhene Aiko.

On The New EP:

” It’s five songs and I’m really excited because I decided to do a visual EP. I shot 5 videos for each of the songs, so its kind of like a mini movie. This time around,  I actually wrote alot and I think people will connect with me more because it’s coming from me and its different music from past music. “

On Her Relationship With Her Sister Jhene Aiko:

” We’re both on the same path musically.  We’ve both been in the industry since we were kids. My parents always supported us in music and my father was a musician so it was natural for us to go into the music. “

M.I.L.A [Made In Los Angeles] debuts on October 14th, 2014 via Motown Records.
