August Alsina is finally awake from a three-day coma. The singer collapsed on stage during his concert performance in New York City earlier this week.
Initial reports says the singe’s collapse was a result of Alsina suffering from ‘exhaustion’ on his long running summer tour, but we’ve now learned that there were other factors involved that placed the r&b new comer in a three day ‘coma’.
Alsina is alleged to have hit the barricade after fainting on stage. The blunt force to his head is reportedly what caused him to have multiple seizures prior to falling in to a coma.
Sidebar: I am no medical expert but I did serve as an E.M.T for a a few years back in my late teens-early 20’s and usually the result of seizure stems from one of many factors [ie: low oxygen intake, low sugar intake, dehydration, exhaustion, a sudden urge of electric activity in the brain, etc]
” The nature of seizures varies, because the lobes of the brain control different behaviors, movements and experiences. “
Alsina released his first statement saying:
“ I would just like to thank GOD for healing August Anthony Alsina Jr! These past couple of days has been a WRECK for #AlsinaNation and it was very sad…sneak is a real true person and I would also like to thank him for being there for august and never leaving his side and Terrance and his manager an his Family!
Coma’s are nothing to joke about I’m glad he pulled through it tho. The Love and support you give August is real and can’t nobody say that. #AlsinaNation “
In his first deleted post Alsina showed a graphic picture of himself lying in a hospital bed apparently induced in a coma. He first wrote:
“ This is a bit graphic but I wanted to share this w/every follower of mine. I woke up out of a 3 day coma and this guys @banggang_moneyteam right here never once left my side. What I’m tryna say is cherish the ones in life who cherish you & take good care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second. I’m recovering well and thank you for all your prayers & concerns – Yung “
