Rapper, Nelly 39 and his current girlfriend Shantel Jackson, 29 [the recent ex-girlfriend to Floyd Mayweather] are set to star in their very own reality show. The eight episode show will center around Nelly ‘s personal and professional life as rapper and co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team.
Sidebar: I am not surprise that BET/ Viacom would pick up their reality show and begin production so quickly. The recent controversy surrounding Floyd Mayweather, Shantel, and Nelly triangle love affair is more than enough tea to increase ratings for 8 weeks and a possible second season.
Many people believed that Nelly and Mayweather were friends but Nelly says other wise. According to Nelly, the two were cordial on social outings, however, Floyd never invited him to his fights and the two never exchanged phone numbers. Nelly then dropped a bombshell statement saying:
” Floyd could be confusing his relationship with me with his relationship with my ex who whom he has exchanged numbers and has flow personally to attend his weekend in Michigan which I wasn’t invited to [guess I wasn’t in the circle of friends then lol] . “
When asked about the reality show news, Floyd Mayweather views were not too far from the public consensus. According to the boxy heavyweight champ Nelly is being used to serve Shantel’s career goals.
” I’m not mad about any relationship or them [Nelly and Shantel] hanging out. She like to come and tell me “Well it’s all for publicity. I gotta do what’s best for me. I’m using it as a stepping stone so I can get my reality show started “.
Floyd Mayweather and Shantel parted ways earlier this year over an alleged ‘abortion’ which Floyd announced publicly that he was against Shantel’s decision.
