There’s a new ‘alleged’ industry couple making media headlines this week.
Lil Wayne; the president of YME label is said to be dating his artist, Christina Milian. The two turned many heads as they made a late entrance at last night’s ESPY awards hands in hand.
Now some are calling this another publicity stunt for Christina who was signed to the Young Money label in 2012. With the release of her new album underway, it appears to be the perfect time to spice up her personal life and popularity but this pair seems unique in comparison to others. Here’s a little history recap:
Prior to Jas Prince, Christina Milian was married to and conceived a child with songwriter/producer, The- Dream. The Dream was previously married to singer, Nivea who dated and conceived two children by Lil Wayne which was rumored to be the cause of their divorce.
So is Wayne trying to keep it all in the family?
Sidebar: There’s way too much sharing and swapping in the entertainment industry for my taste. But the question always begs: “Who else are celebrities going to date after dating another high profile celeb? “
Christina told TMZ that she is not ‘smashing’ Lil Wayne but when asked about whether she’d considered dating a producer or chief executive she provided an ‘indecisive’ response by ‘shrugging her shoulders’ .
Oh but there’s more!
So there has been no official word over the sudden engagement split between Christina Milian and Jas Prince. The street whispers suggest that Jas and Lil Wayne’s ongoing beef may have caused tension in their relationship.
” Jas reportedly filed a lawsuit against CMR [Cash Money Records] in 2012 for unpaid fees over Drake’s signing to YME and CMR. Jas Prince Jr. brokered the recording and management deal between Drake, YME and CMR via Cortez Bryant. Jas was to be paid a percentage of profits from Drake’s earnings but [like in most artist cases] Jas finder’s fee and contractual pay went unnoticed and unpaid thus far. Lil Wayne also released a track entitled “Tina Turn Up Needs A Tune Up” on his youtube channel . In the song Wayne throws direct jabs at Prince. “She’s Needs A King, Not A Prince.”…. Your A Queen,… Maybe We Can Make A Princess raps Wayne.
That’s all for now!
