Apollo Nida has been sentenced to eight years of imprisonment yesterday July 8th. According to the court documents, Nida plead guilt on May 6th to conspiring to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud. Apollo initally was facing up to 30 years in prison, however his attorney’s manage to reduce his sentence.
The U.S. District Court of Atlanta also ordered Nida to pay restitution to the victims of his $2.3 million dollar scheme. Nida is the husband of reality star Phaedra Parks [Esq] . Parks was ‘allegedly’ not in the court room with her husband during sentencing yesterday.
The street whispers suggest that Parks and Nida’s marriage have been on the rocks for several months now as a result of this case. The two have not shared public photos for close to six months now and neither of them have issued any public statements about the case.
Who know’s what will happen to their marriage?
My sincere prayers for the couple’s two children who will be greatly impacted by this. While the media is making headlines with this story, we must keep in mind that it is the ‘children’ who will suffer the most from this. As one critic points out: ‘the victims’ [many of whom had children were also impacted by Nida’s scheme].
