And the real question is …. Can You Smoke Publicly similar to those that are privilege to openly smoke cigarettes?
New York is the 23rd state to legalize ‘marijuana’ for medical use. The announcement came earlier today via new press conference by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo who signed the official Compassionate Care Act. In this new bill:
” Patients are allowed to ingest marijuana as a means to help relieve pain from various illnesses. However, patients are not allowed to smoke marijuana. Cuomo also noted that the bill is a ‘balanced piece of legislation that includes the strictest security measures. “
Sidebar: Does this mean that the only consumption of marijuana may be used via liquid, pipe, or alternative ingested methods.
I did a little research and found that this new bill allows you to ingest marijuana in various methods such as:
‘marijuana vaporizer, marijuana edibles [ie; foods and snacks made from cannibis], marijuana topicals [which can be used on the skin] marijuana tinctures and tonics [liquids that can be ingested under the tongue] and or marijuana teas or coffee. ‘
This appears to be more healthier route it seems.
According to the reports, a patient must obtain a certification from a licensed doctor who is registered with the Department of Health and ‘qualified’ to treat the serious condition for which the patient is seeking treatment.
