The legal woes continues to pour on 50 cent. As reported last year, 50 Cent [real name Curtis Jackson] came under a federal lawsuit from a photographer name, Jennifer Stetson. According to Stetson, the 38-year old stole her artwork thus breaching her copyright infringement license which was issued to her on July 9th 2012.

In the court documents filed back in September of 2013, Stetson affirms that she reached out the 50 cent and advised him that he was NOT authorized to use the photo entitled ‘Claudia’  and requested that the art work be removed from his media website thisis50.com but nothing was done.

At this time, 50 cent continues to publish her copyright photo and now Stetson is seeking monetary damages for violation of her copyright and unauthorized usage.

According to 50 cent,  Stetson’s artwork was PAID for and therefore the judge should throw the lawsuit out. 50 cent contends that Stetson does not own the copyrights to her photo-art,. She assigned the rights to a third part to license and sell – says 50.

50 Cent went on to say that it was from the third party source that he was granted permission to use the phot0-art on his website.  The lawsuit is still underway.
