Recap: 2014 Summer Jam Concert, Nas, 50 Cent, Faboulous, Sevyn Streeter, August Alsina & More

The 2014 Summer Jam Concert kicked off last night at the Met stadium in New Jersey. The annual concert brought out both rising and current acts who performed in front of the packed stadium.

The pre-show featured R&B sensation Jhene Aiko, singers, Sevyn Streeter, August Alsina, Mack Wilds, rapper Chinx, Childish Gambino, and more.

The big stage acts featured rappers, Troy Ave [who brought out T.I], Action Bronson, Wiz Khalifa [who brought out Snoop Dog],

The Roots brought out The Lox, M.O.P, and Black Sheep who performed their 90’s hit songs for the audience.

Celebrating 20 years in  hip hop rapper, Nas took to the stage and ignited the crowd with his hit songs from his first album  “Illmatic” and his anthem song “You Can Hate Me Now”  prior to bringing out MMG artist, Meek Mill, and bronx -bred rapper, French Montana

DJ Mustard [pic on right above with Wiz] also gave the audience some history lessons on tracks he’s rendered for artist along with new tracks from Kid InkMain Chick’, and ‘Show Me’ feat. Chris Brown.

The finale performance was handed to Nicki Minaj who reminded us ALL [including Hot97] that she is Queen Fem Fatale of Hip Hop.

 Minaj performed hit songs from her solo debut album ‘Pink Friday’ along with new tracks ‘Pills & Potions’, ‘Chiraq’, ‘Yas Bitch’, ‘Danny Glover’, before bringing out fellow YMCMB artist Drake and Lil Wayne.
