Actor, Michael Jace 51 who is famously known for his role on FX’s hit show police drama ” The Shield “ has been charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of his wife, April Jace. According to the reports. Jace allegedly called 911 just moments after he shot his wife and told the authorities that he had pulled the trigger -says Detective Dean Vinluan

The reasons for his senseless crime is still unpublished. The news is reporting that Jace and his wife were having marital troubles particularly in the finance department. CNN reports that the couple’s $411,000 home was currently under foreclosure, and Jace had filed for bankruptcy in 2011. Jace agreed to a payment plan but he failed to make his $2,000 monthly payments since December 2013.

Witnesses say that the couple were arguing after April and two kids entered the home in the evening hours. April’s body was found in the hallway at around 8:30pm . April suffered multiple gunshots in her upper body. Domestic violence has been ruled as the ‘intent’ of Jace’s vicious actions.

There has been no record or history of violence between Jace and his wife but previous court records does show that Jace was charged previously for ‘assault charges’ with his first wife whom he shares a teenage son with. Jace reportedly married April in June of 2003, after one year of divorcing his first wife.

In more sadder news, the media reports suggest that the couple’s  two children were taken into custody following the incident and were held at the police station for four hours before Child Protective Services intervened. SMH!  It is heartbreaking to even fathom what these children may be going through.

At this time Jace bail has been set for one million dollars and he currently does not have a hired attorney.

” Jace has acted in numerous tv shows including ‘Southland’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘Private Practice’, ‘The Mentalist’, ‘Burn Notice’, and ‘NYPD Blue’.
