Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star, Mimi Faust and boyfriend Nikko London’s infamous sex-tape has the entire internet buzzing and sales have skyrocketed since its debut release on April 21st. It is the center of discussion due to the infamous SHOWER ROD scene where Mimi is seen pulling herself up and down. As a result – countless comedic meme’s, , comments [mostly bad] have surfaced meanwhile, shower rods have been selling out at home depot and Lowe’s department stores nation-wide.
The obvious backlash went to Mimi of course. The 43 year-old reality star is a mother of a four-year-old child and many people feel that she not only acted in poor taste, but she sold her soul for a paycheck and celebrity relevance. With season three of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta set to debut on Monday, May 5th . VH1 has used the sex-tape scandal for publicity for the upcoming season which confirmed many people’s belief that Mimi and Nikki had planned this entire scheme to gain ratings and popularity on the show.

On Their Infamous Sex Tape Leak:
“ Nikko: This is something that we do as couples, we like to tape ourselves. Simple. I’m sure some of you all are quite familiar with that because ya’ll do it yourselves. ”
” Mimi: First of all we’re ADULTS, we’re not KIDS, we’re not underage, so what we did as two consenting ADULTS in the privacy of our home is what we did. The way the tape got out, we didn’t intend for this to get out to the public. Especially for it to be splashed all over the internet… so I’m horrified about that. I have young girls now, even my nieces and nephews that are like- ‘Oh My God Auntie‘ so I also have to deal with that and one day I have to explain this to my daughter [of course] . BUT, we’re two consenting adults and we didn’t do anything wrong again. ”
Everybody thinks that VH1 was somehow behind involved what happened in our personal life but that’s not true. What happened in our personal life was personal. VH1 had to get involve because this was really going on, so we had to let them know what was happening so VH1 had absolutely nothing to do with that whatsoever.

On Joseline Negative Comments About The Sex Tape:

On The Infamous Shower Rod Scene:
” Mimi: We decided to take a shower and I decided to grab on to it to get a little more leverage, and what ya’ll got to understand is that it’s not just the ROD, your partner has to be able to support your weight. I was just swinging from the rod, he was holding me… Nikko intercepts – it wasn’t a TARZAN moment. It was group effort. We really want to educate you guys on this shower rod thing because we really don’t want you guys going out there and breaking your necks thinking there’s a certain shower rod. ”
