Following the success of her 2012 mixtape which received more than $700,000 downloads to date Mila J is ready to step back in the music limelight. For those of you that may or may not know, the songstress is the sister of industry newcomer, Jhene Aiko.
Milah J [real name Jamila] has been in the industry for a number of years. The singer was part of two girl groups GYRL, and Dame Four that was short lived then later embarked on her solo career. It’s been a long time coming for the singer, but she seems more ready than ever.
Last month, the singer unveiled her first single entitled: “Smoke, Drink, Break-Up” and its been growing huge popularity since its debut. Mila J is currently signed to Motown records, and she attributes her music inspiration to Brandy, Janet Jackson and Tank. This will be Mila J’s second album entitled M.I.L.A which stands for Made In Los Angeles.
