Brandy Dishes Talks The Game, New Music, & More On Queen Latifah Show!

brandy-queenlatifah-show-thatplum-1 copyBrandy appeared on the Queen Latifah show this week to promote her reoccuring role on BET’s hit show The Game, and her upcoming projects; one of which includes a new album, and new television show. The singer recently called off her engagement to boyfriend     and says her focus is primarily on her music and acting career at the moment.

The Game is about the behind the scenes of football;  the players, their wives, their baby-mama’s their new wife, Chardonany. So there is a lot of stuff behind the scenes of football so it’s basically tackling that. “

” I was really surprised. I was scared, I was shocked and my brother did that. I was like really Ray-J!  I felt so great. It was the type of party where everybody that was there was someone I had a moment with at some point in my life. It wasn’t just random people there just to the fill the room. “

While there Brandy received a surprise appearance from rappers, Mc Lyte  and YoYo. Celebrating 20 years since the release of their collaborative hit song “I Want To Be Down” [Remix].

” I’m ready to perform I Want To Be Down [Remix] performance with Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and YoYo. Now, we will need to do rehearsal cause we got to have the band right, the protools, so I’m ready for rehearsal and anything we need to make that happen. “

Backstage during the Q&A session Brandy dished on her upcoming album. The singer assured fans that she will be releasing new music this year and will tour. When asked about whether she’d consider to doing a ‘Moesha‘ movie Brandy says she’s be open yet cautious since the passing of two cast mates thus far.  As for her future music collaborations, Brandy says:

” I would love to collaborate with Sade. She has one of the best tones that I’ve heard in my life. I love Sade and I think it would be completely different than anything  what I’ve done and I think it would be one of the best experiences of my life. “

” With acting that’s tough because I love comedy and I just want to work with great comedians. I want to see if I could be as funny as a comedian like Jim Carey, Kevin Hart. I want to test my funny. “
