Editor of VOGUE magazine, Anna Wintour denounces the rumor that she might have been ‘swayed’ in her decision to place Kim and Kanye on the cover of Vogue magazine latest issue. The rumor suggests that Kanye and momanger, Kris Jenner begged Wintour for Kim’s placement on the cover of the April issue.

The rumor mill grew after  Kim and Kris were spotted sitting next to one another at Kanye’s ‘Yeezus’ tour at Barclay’s Center in NYC.

According to Wintour, her decision to make the bold move was based on the couples influence in popular culture.

” As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching and it was. I should add, entirely our idea to do it. You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fianc’ee on VOGUE’s cover. He had nothing of the sort.

The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true. “

Wintour, 64 also went on to say that she has never compromised her position to ‘bend the rules’;  noting that part of her job is to seek influential persons who are shaping the cultures of society.

” Part of the please of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stirs things up, who presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it.

I think we can all agree on the fact that -that role is currently played by Kim and Kanye to a ‘T’ [or perhaps I should say a ‘K’ ? ).

Many people continue to oppose Wintour’s claims including VH1 reality star, Reza from ‘Shah’s Of Sunset‘ disagrees; noting that something just doesn’t add up. Check out what he told TMZ;
