Actor, Taye Diggs and his wife Idina Menzel have decided to end their ten year marriage. The couple have confirmed their split [via representative of the two] who told People Magazine that the couple asks the public to respect their privacy during this time. The rep also noted that couple’s “primary focus and concern is for their son.”
Taye Diggs was rumored to have cheated on his wife, but the couple has yet to speak publicly on the reason for the final split. Diggs and Menzel met while playing in the broadway show RENT in the mid 199o ‘s. The two married in 2003 and had their son Walker in 2009.
Earlier this year during an interview with People Magazine Idina said :
“We work at it,” she said. “I’m not going to glamorize it or glorify it – we go through tough times like everybody else, but we love each other very much. We try not to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time, and we try to find new ways to communicate.”
It’s good to see the couple taking the high road, and protecting the privacy of their son instead of bashing accusations towards each other on public display.
