Basketball Wives star, Tami Roman stopped by the Hot 97 morning where she sat down with Ebro, Cipha Sounds and Laura Styles for a candid interview about her new projects that are slated to debut next year; one of which is a nail polish and lip gloss collection that will be made available in a WallGreens store near you. The reality star is also a soon to be author.
Ms.Roman talks about her knew book Mistresses 101 [ which is sure to stirr some controversy], her current relationship with co-star Evelyn Lozado, and unpaid child supports from ex-husband former NBA player Kenny Anderson. Take a listen to a few excerpts from the “Queen Of Real and Hustle Hard“.
On Her Friendship With Co-Star Evelyn Lozado:
” I have no differences with her. With this season I didn’t think we had an issue. I’ve kept friendship/acquaintanceship with Evelyn on the show throughout the seasons. But I think if you call me a bitch and you put your hands in my face [coupled together] that’s a problem for me…. I feel like your coming for me and I’m not a child. “
On Her Feelings Of Evelyn Wanting Her Own Spin-Off Show:
” She’s doing what she needs to do [same as I am]. She wants to do a ‘Spin Off”[show] and I think we are ALL at that point were can we can WARRANT that and carry a show so I don’t have any qualms with her about that. So what you can do. “
On Whether He Current Issues With Evelyn Stem From Evelyn’s Sexual Involvement With Ex-Hubby- Kenny Anderson :
” With regards to my marriage. She was involved with my ex-husband [Kenny Anderson] while we were still married and I had no idea.”
” I did [genuinely] forgive her. The issue with her was not that she had slept with him, the issue was that she taped with me for six months and she did not tell me and I thought we were cool. So I felt like if were cool, woman to woman you could’ve of said back in the day this is what happened. I don’t care about Kenny, we’ve been divorce for 12 -14 years now but as woman just give me that respect and common courtesy. “
On Her Kenny Anderson:
” We have two daughters . We don’t talk, we don’t communicate. My daughter are 19 and 17. He doesn’t have to right now. Child support he hasn’t paid it for 14 years. Your suppose to go to jail for that but we settled out of court. So there’s a settlement that has not been paid yet. “
On Whether Her Daughters Have A Relationship With Their Father:
” No they don’t. The kids don’t speak to him. He came on the show the first season I was on. and that was my attempt in extending the Olive Branch. We don’t co-parent properly lets do the right thing for pour daughter. They went to see him one time shortly after taping and that was about 4-5 years ago ans that was the one time they saw him. “
On Her New Lipstick and Nail Polish:
” It’s Lip gloss and Nail polish before Basketball Wives and I was working a nine to five. I had move my family to New Jersey thinking I was going to start this new tv show but they cancelled it. I was in hardship when I started Basketball wives; those two years were the toughest of my life. And on the weekends all I could do is go to the mall and get a mani-pedi with my girls and get some lip gloss so I when I wanted to a venture I wanted to to do something that was organic to me. “
On Any Past Regrets:
” No. I don’t have one single regret. Coming into the REAL World I’m just the person who just trying to being as transparent as I could be. Whether I did things the wrong or right way; its up to public perception. but I think I’m putting my story out there and I’m a testimony…. I use the show as mirror and I work on Tami…. Your mistakes are your best teachers.”
On Her New Book:
” I have a book coming out. It’s called Mistresses 101 and its about women and their relationships and how they can keep them….. I’ve been through a relationship and I thought I was perfect mate, but clearly there were some things within me.. I’m not that chic in my relations. I will not put my hands on you but I will cut the F– out of your tires. “
