Rapper DMX appeared on the Dr. Phil show yesterday to discuss the recent controversy surrounding his bankruptcy, child support, drug addiction and more. DMX put out a disclaimer prior to speaking with Dr. Phil saying “Me and mom had a rough start. “She did the best she could and regardless of how rough things were we have moved on. I don’t want anything to interfere with that – no bringing up the past no none of that.

Dr.Phil tackled a slew of topics, from the the number of children that DMX has father [a total of 11 with one on the way] his 1.23 million dollar child support, his challenge with drug addiction, his 25 arrest record, his responsibility and more. One thing that was constant throughout the interview was that DMX continued to state that he is ‘unapologetic’ for his actions [good or bad] and he is uninterested of what people have to say about him because as he put is “If You Believe People When They say You’re Great, Then You’ll Believe Them When They You Ain;’t Sh*T”

Here’s some of the excerpts from the interview:

On His 1.23 million child support debt:

“And the reasoning.  At a time I was making 13 million dollars a year I can pay that  but when I’m not making that [which I havent been in 10 years] then of course behind in payments but the kids are taken of. “

DMX added that due to his debt the court has revoked both is driver’s license and passport and therefore he is unable to travel and or make money to pay off his debt.

On The Number Of Children He Has & Why He Continues To Impregnant Women:

” I have eleven children [by six different women  and one on the way… I’m not having children. They’re well taken care of and I’m in all of their lives… I think if you can provide for your kids and be there for them then you should have them.”

On Why He’s No Longer Making 13 million years

” Shh! I don’t know. What kind of question is that? “

On His Drug Addiction:

” I am always going to have a drug problem, I don’t have to get high. I smoke weed and I drink – yes and that’s it. My faith is in God and he’s not going to remove it all at once but he’s taking steps and I’m taking steps everyday to get better and get where I need to be. “

On Any Past Regrets:

” I wouldn’t redo anything because it got me right where I am right now.”

In conclusion, DMX noted that he is in a good place at this very moment.
