Another look at SLAVERY!
Next month ‘12 Years A Slave‘ will premiere in box office theaters worldwide. The Stevie McQueen directed film has an all star cast line-up enough to get all movie-goers to the theater but its the story line that is drawing popularity among the movie critics. The movie stars British actor, Chiwetel Eiojfor [who plays “Northup“]; a free slave who resided in New York but later abducted and sold into slavery in 1841 at a cotton plantation near red river in Louisiana for more than a decade.
I must say after watching the preview clip I must agree with one commenter named Alex N who wrote:
” This is going to be good….Great cast, Amazing Director, Received standing ovation at Toronto, Fascinating subject,”
Based on the famous Derby & Miller book “Twelve Years A Slave” has been revered as the “must see” film of the year. The film’s debut scored a standing ovation from audience viewers, and critics say the film supersedes “The Butler” as it shows slavery at its absolute worse. Watch the trailer preview below:
