Timbaland Offers Apology To Chris Brown Re: Aaliyah Song!

Music producer Timbaland has step forward to apologize to Chris Brown over his collaborative song “Don’t Think They Know” which features late singer, Aaliyah. Timbaland and Missy Elliot were very influential in Aaliyah’s rise to music fame and the driving force behind her double platinum album “One In A Million” [which debut back in 1999]. Since Aaliyah’s passing in 2001, Timbaland has been un-supportive of anyone using Aaliyah’s songs in a collaborative track.  When Timbaland  heard that Drake and Chris Brown had plans to release new music featuring Aaliyah, he was not enthusiastic about the collaboration and revealed his feelings during an interview with Revolt TV. Timbaland said this:

” People always say, “I’m going to do a song with Aaliyah. It will never work. Chris Brown got a record, it won’t work. Drake can go do a record with Aaliyah, it ain’t gonna work, cause Aaliyah music only work with its soul mate which is me.”

Now that Timbaland has heard the actual song which is blazing the radio and billboard charts right now Timbaland issued a public apology on twitter to Brown yesterday writing the following: [read from bottom up]

It’s good to see the Timbaland mend his relationship with Brown. Let’s face it – they’re both from Virginia and they work in the same industry. Hopefully the two can collaborate again and release a duo track in the future.  You can watch Chris Brown and Aaliyah’s new video  here
