Hey PLUM’s. Here’s the updated story regarding a Florida woman by the name Brittany Harris who [LITERALLY] left her children in the car of parking lot just so she could attend Lil Wayne’s concert in Florida. Lets first start with the issue at hand. A trip to the “Lil Wayne’s” concert at the Cruzan Amphi theatre in Florida Sunday night [July 14th] ended on a bad note for a mother of two in the parking lot of the Amphitheatre while she attended the concert. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says that Brittany Harris left her two children ages five[5] and three [3] in the parking lot of the Amphitheatre while she attended the concert around 7:00pm.
At 9:45pm, deputies notice the five year-old pacing the parking lot for several minutes unattended. The deputy walked over to the car where the children were only to learn that Harris left them to stay in a car unsupervised. The children were brought to the deputies at the north end of the concert [where they told authorities that their mother had instructed to sit in the car until she returned]. Deputies later caught up with Harris when she left the concert around [10:30pm] and [at first] she denied bringing her children but soon thereafter she admitted that she left them in a car so she could go the concert.
Harris was arrested on two counts of child neglect. Deputies say that the kids roamed the busy parking with an estimated 9,000 people; numerous vehicles and intoxicated patrons. The Department of Families and Children has taken custody of Harris’s children.
Sidebar: So Ms. Harris had enough money to purchase the tickets to Lil Wayne’s concert but not enough money to hire a babysitter for a few hours while she play ‘groupie’ at Lil Wayne’s concert. SMH!
Whether Lil Wayne, or T.I. [who was also on the concert roster] is her favorite rapper or not. This was beyond FOOLISH and extremely HARMFUL to say the least and luckily her child caught the attention of an authority rather than pedophile. Ms. Harris needs to ask herself: Was it really worth it?
Well, Brittany Harris has since been released from jail and has enrolled herself into nursing school, and she has surely returned a few words to the “haters” via facebook.

The jury is still on the whether she has retrieved parental rights of her children but hopefully she can pull it together from her on out.
