Willow Smith debuts her new video “Summer Fling‘ and there’s ALOT of mixed reactions. The 12 year-old star, sings about having a summer fling with a potential interest while noting that “Its Only A Couple Of Months, But We Do It Anyway “. Umm- what’s wrong with this message? Willow’s parents [Will and Jada Smith have already noted to the public that they give their children total freedom as a way for them to be creatively free and Willow does just that in this record singing: You Tell Me That I’m The One – I Tell you It’s Just For Fun…..
Despite the words of the song , the Mark Vargas directed video is pretty innocent. In the opening vid, Willow is spotted “gazing eyes” with a a boy [aka her summer fling] while a narrative voice of Willow speaking in a “british accent” plays in the background. In another scene Willow along with her brother Jaden and friends enjoy themselves at a pool party, sitting around a bonfire, and later dancing around in circles while spraying colorful smoke canisters.
