It’s Official!
Actress, Kerry Washington is officially off the market. It has been confirmed that Kerry Washington, 36 married San Francisco 49ers corner-back Ezenwa Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24th in a private ceremony in Blaine County, Idaho. The Scandal star is known to be extremely private with her personal life so it was a huge surprise to learn Washington was in a relationship with Asomugha for well over a year prior to making it official last month.
According to ‘E’ online who confirmed the news with a rep from the Idaho court [who also issued proof of the wedding certificate];
E! News has learned from Idaho’s office of Vital Statistics, Ezenwa Nnamdi Asomugha swapped vows with Kerry Marisa Washington on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho.
A source confirms to E! that they had been dating for a year.
Washington’s parents, Earl and Valerie, signed the certificate as witnesses, and the groom’s sister, Chisaraokwu Asomugha—a minister in Silver Spring, Md.—officiated.
Washington drew suspicion after she decided on June 19th that she would be on taking a ‘twitter vacation’ for a month.
“Tweeples! Im taking a tweet break WHAT?!..Yup! U will NOT hear from me 4 a month, but know that Im thinking of u #Gladiators w/much LUV!”
However, on June 30th Washington couldn’t help but to thank her fans after winning “the best actress” award at the 2013 BET awards. It was clear that Washington had been on her honeymoon writing:
“Im STILL on vacay & twitter hiatus but…I COULDNT RESIST THANKING U ALL! So gr8ful 4 @BETAwards win! Thx 4 VOTING! BEST FANS EVER!,” she wrote on Monday.
As for Washington’s hubby, Asomugha is graduate from Berkley USC, a philanthropist at heart with a great NFL track record. You can learn more about him in the video below:
