Hip-Rocknb rebel, Tess released her highly anticipated video for “Whore“ on Tuesday, June 25th to a packed house at Uptown Social in the historic Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. The notorious rebel was nearly brought to tears from the astounding applause and cheers from the audience as the video came to a close. After graciously thanking directors PocketDenim and fellow cast members Eli and Kat, all who were in attendance, Tess proceeded to tear down the stage with a set of hits from her debut EP “The Name Is Tess“, including smash “MJ” and her newest single “Whore”.
Tess called on her HipRocknB Rebels to rock out on a few tracks, and at one point jumped on top of the couches surrounding the stage, showcasing her ability to keep the entire crowd engaged. Uptown Social’s own ‘Get Ur Mind Right’ hosted the night, hip hop artist Art opened the set with two original songs and sponsor VODKILA passed out “Whore” drinks featuring their original blend all night. Gift-bags including Vitamin Water, tees from JWest Designs, and product from Miss Jessie’s were given to guests while items from UrbanChic, Nueva York and HipRocknB logo shirts were auctioned off and available for purchase.
The video for Tess’ newest single “Whore” is not what you expect…at all. The HipRocknB Rebel touches on issues of emotional abuse and relationships proudly proclaiming “I am not your whore!”. Before the video aired Tess made a very vulnerable statement to the crowd:
