A new commercial video has emerged from some of Hollywood’s prominent actors urging the “PEOPLE” to take a stand and support the “Demand Zero” bill on the abolishing of ALL nuclear weapons here and abroad. In the intro of the PSA vid, excerpts from President Obama’s 2009 speech is re-stated loud and clear throughout the video.
“So I state clearly, and with conviction, America’s commitment to seek the peace and security of a world without ‘Nuclear’ weapons”.
Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Douglas, Alec Baldwin, Namoi Watts, Danny Devito, Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, Morgan Freeman, Martin Sheen, and Zoe Kravitz, all star in the video re-iterating Obama’s message of humanity to ALL:
” This matters to people everywhere. Some argue that the spread of these weapons cannot be stopped, cannot be checked, Such fatalism is a deadly adversary. For if we believe that the spread of nuclear weapons is inevitable; then in some way we are admitting to ourselves that the use of nuclear weapons is inevitable. To denounce a call for cooperation is an “easy” but also a “cowardly” thing to do. ” That’s how ‘WARS‘ begins! That where human progress ends!
“But make no mistake – when we fail to pursue “PEACE” then it stays forever beyond our grasp. It will take patience and persistence. But we must ignore the voices that tell us that the world cannot change. Human Destiny will be what we make of it. Let us bridge our divisions and build upon our hopes and accept our responsibility to leave this world more prosperous and peaceful than we found it. “
Obama speech concludes the PSA Video saying:
