The Carters Are Fed Up Again!
Just a few weeks after Beyonce unveiled her controversial single “Bow Down” [a song in which Beyonce demands b*tches to pay homage to her success] her hubby Jay-Z follows suit and releases a new track of his own entitled ” Open Letter” on Thursday [April 11th] . Jay-Z teams up with producers Swizz Beatz, and Timbaland alongside singer, Trey Songz who sings the chorus portion. On the track Jay-Z addresses the public on his recent controversy surrounding his anniversary trip with Beyonce to Cuba, and his decision to sell his “share” of the Brooklyn Nets team to become a sports agent.
As you may know Jay-Z and Beyonce vacationed in Cuba for their 5th wedding anniversary but their trip was short lived and the couple came under investigation by a few politicians [like Sen. Marco Rubio] who felt their trip was more than just a weekend celebration. According to Cuba’s and United States “embargo” agreement “Toursim” is prohibited in Cuba and anyone wanting to visit the country must be granted “permission” first to do so. Now jay-Z and Beyonce have been cleared of the charges but that didn’t stop Jay-Z from expressing his feelings on his latest track saying:
[nggallery id=104]“Politicians Never Did Shit For Me / Except Lie To Me, / Distort History,” Jay-Z continues,
“Done turned Havana into Atlanta….They wanna give me jail time and a fine — Fine, let me commit a real crime,”
followed by:
“Obama said, ‘Chill you’re going to get me impeached’ / You don’t need this shit anyway, chill with me on the beach.”
Jay-Z raised more eyebrows when he responded to critics about selling his shares of the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z raps:
“I woulda moved the Nets to Brooklyn for free/ Except I made millions off you fucking dweebs/ I still own the building, I’m still keeping my seats/ You buy that bullshit, you better keep your receipts.”
Clearly, Jay-Z is not one to keep his mouth shut but at least he “plays fair” by keeping it all on WAX .
