We haven’t hear much of Mathew Knowles since he “RELINQUISHED” his title as “MANAGER” from his daughter Beyonce a few years ago. The breakup was definitely bitter sweet between the two given the circumstances of the family household at the time. Mathew was outed for “adultery” and “fathering a child” with a woman [while still married to Beyonce and Solange’s mother, Tina Knowles] After the paternity test proved that Mathew was the father of the child, Tina issued a divorce from Mathew and Beyonce later followed suit and parted “business ties” with her father in 2011. However, Beyonce did acknowledge publicly that her departure from her father was strictly on a “business level“, and during her HBO documentary special she mentioned that
“I’m feeling so very empty because of the relationship with my dad. And I’m so fragile at this point and I feel like my soul has been tarnished. It’s just too stressful, and it really affects your relationship. I needed boundaries, and I think my dad needed boundaries.”
Mathew [on the other hand] never spoken publicly on the actual cause of the break-up [until now] but he did note that the two were able to sustain an “amicable” relationship during the birth of Blue-Ivy back in Jan of 2012 .
Well, in a recent interview with “The Sun” magazine, Mathew Knowles dishes on the heartache of the separation and his statements [for me] only drew more suspicion as to what he may be alluding to. Take a read of his quote below:
” It was hard for me to let her go- it was hard for both of us to let each other go. And let’s be clear on that. She didn’t let me go, we both let each other go. That’s a big difference!….. This was not a normal ending of a business agreement. This was a dad and a daughter and it was “incredibly painful” and it had some difficulties. ”
Then Mathew went on to say:
” I always did my best for Beyonce. Fans can decided if she’s better off now with Jay-Z. “
Sounds like a little shade was thrown but hopefully things will work out for the best.
