After  six longs days Lil Wayne, [aka Tunechi] has returned home from the hospital and releases a statement to his fans re: his health and appreciation for all the “get well wishes” and “prayers” of everyone. As you may know already  Lil Wayne was hospitalized last week after suffering a seizure.  The internet was immediately buzzing after reports from TMZ  indicated that Lil Wayne was facing death and doctors had read “Weezy” his last rites. Weezy  first dismissed the claim on Friday [March 15] tweeting:

But clearly, Weezy wasn;t the only one feeling the disrespect.  Wayne’s camp, fans, and  industry friends [including T.I ] who went on a verbal tirade [while at the SXS Music Festival in Texas] were highly displeased with TMZ reports [which proved to be FALSE]  and by Sunday evening TMZ removed the “error” portion of the article, however offered no apology to the star.

On Monday [Feb 18th]  Lil Wayne was said to be removed from intensive care unit and currently in stable condition However Young Money CEO’s Mack Maine, and Birdman say otherwise. Mack Maine told XXL mag :

“I can’t really give a comment on his situation right now ‘cus we’re not really sure, we’re just standing by him right now. Like I said, he’s in recovery as far as we know, so we’re just sitting back, just waiting until he’s come fully recovered before we can give a statement.”

According to Birdman who called in to the Hot 97 Angie Martinez show earlier, Lil Wayne was hospitalized since Tuesday [Feb.12th] and says that his Seizure was a result of “constant work” and not “DRUGS“.

“We was watching a game when all that popped off,  Birdman said. There was never no truth to that[referring to the initial reports of Weezy being on his deathbed]. He was never in that kind of situation…it was never nothing like that. They freaked the world out with that [referring to reports that Wayne’s seizure resulted in codeine [syrup and alcohol] overdose. We were on the way to shoot a video when it happened and we already knew, the second or third time, we just laid him down and called the ambulance. [It happened at the house.] … The ambulance came [and we went to the hospital]. … It’s nothing they can cure, it’s out of our control, live with and contain. They can’t tell you nothing but get some rest and change what you’ve been doing. They got some meds to keep it from coming [back].”

Here’s the audio.
