Well, it seems that everybody wants to get ride the “Harlem Shake” wagon. The latest group of people to join the dancing is the NBA “Miami Heat” players. As you may/or may not know, Brooklyn dj, Baauer rebirthed the term with the release of his very own  “Harlem Shake” song [which has nothing to with Harlem or the the actual Harlem Shake dance]. The song and dance meaning has since took on a life of its own and everyone [of all ethnic groups – including Muslims] have unleashed videos of their own with their own dance versions and since has stirred ALOT of controversy in the past few weeks.

Baauer has already issued a statement that the song was not intended to mock or imitated the origin of the titled name “Harlem Shake” while admitting that he was surprisingly shock to see his song peaked the number 1 slot on Billboard’s Top 100 beating out Lil Wayne, Drake and Bruno Mars. His song [via youtube] has already peaked close to 9 million views  since its release last year. Watch out Gangnam style.

In an exclusive video entitled ” The Miami Heat Editionthe players get down and dirty  [in a funny way] to display their version of Harlem Shake. Take a look at the video below.

Hopefully this will cool down the tension a bit.
