Keke Palmer, Little Mama, And Drew Sidora Cast As TLC For New VH1 Biopic Film

Is Official!  VH1  will be bringing a new biopic film on the 1990’s R&B/Pop group  TLC  . According to VH1 the film, Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story will undergo production next month in the trio’s hometown of Atlanta, GA.  Earlier this week, the cast of the film was also announced.  The actors chosen were rapper, Little Mama best known for hit song “ Lip Gloss ” and her judging role of MTV’s Best Dance Crew] who plays Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Actress, Keke Palmer  [best known for her break out role in Akeelah and the Bee] plays Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and lastly, Actress Drew Sidora [best known for her role in “Step Up” and “That’s So Raven“] playing Tionne ” T-Boz” Watkins.

The film was written by Kate Lanier, who also wrote the screenplay for the (slightly fictionalized) 1993 Tina Turner biopic What’s Love Got to Do With It’ as well as Mariah Carey’s Glitter, and directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline’, and Paid in Full’). So, you know this film is sure to be a good one.

Both Chilli and T-Boz are serving as consultants and executive producers for the film. In explaining the filming the remaining duo says:

“There is so much to our story that hasn’t been told until this movie,” T-Boz said in the press release. “Fans will be able to really understand the dynamic of the group and why that formula has not been able to be duplicated.”
