Rihanna gets up close and personal while unveiling her personal truths in her latest single “Stay” off of her UnApologetic album. The pop singer teams up with Nashville singer, Mikky Ekko for the emotional track. RiRi [literally] bares all as she sings her heart out to [the love of her life]; and requesting him to stay. In the Sophie Mulle directed video, Ri-Ri walks us through her relationship sadness [even shedding a tear] while sinking deeper in the bathtub saying:
Oh the reason I hold on/
Oh cause I need this hole gone/
Funny you’re the broken one/
But I’m the only one who needed saving/
Cause when you never see the light/
It’s hard to know which one of us is caving/
Sidebar: Ri-Ri is giving us a glimpse of her reality now that she’s reconciled her relationship with Chris Brown [and the continued public scrutiny of it all]. Not to mention her great vocals while performing the heartfelt rendition of the song at the 2013 Grammy Awards (Feb. 10) I think we all NOW can agree that “Its Nobody’s business” and finally let these two be once and for all – because this video says it all.
