The industry is undergoing a music renovation with the plethora of new artists that are coming out these days. Baiyu is one those artist who’s up NEXT. Baiyu is a lane of her own; her style of music is soulful with touch of jazz and R&B that will truly blow you away. Last year, Baiyu starred in Queen Latifah’s ‘The Next‘ show [on the CW ] where she competed for the NEXT title under the mentorship of Nelly. Baiyu’s popularity grew exponentially since the release of ‘Hunter’ mixtape on datpiff [which is now buzzing the industry waves]. Her latest single “Mourning Hangover” is and music delight. In the KQuick produced track, Baiyu compares mourning the loss of a relationship to the painful morning hangover after a night of hard partying.
In the new mixtape Baiyu explains:
“I feel like we’re all Hunters in our own right, whether we’re looking for glory or acceptance; love or revenge; or even just the simple things in life that put a smile on our faces—it is a quest for something that is in a way almost primal and innate to our individual characters.”
