LaLa Anthony [who is deemd as the first lady of New York] is reportedly headed to splitsville with NY Knicks star, Carmelo Anthony reports The Daily News. Sources told the newspaper company that Lala And Melo have been living separately for two months, and say that ‘Melo’s’ action towards Boston Celtics baller Kevin Garnett Monday night was a result of the “break-up” allegations. As you may have heard – Melo got to in a verbal altercation on the court with Garnett after Garnett stated that Lala tastes like “Honey Nut Cheerios” to Melo.
Garnett and Anthony had to be separated on court and both were hit with technical fouls. But the insult left Anthony so upset he sought out Garnett after the 102-96 Knicks loss, apparently to settle the score.
An infuriated Anthony yelled at Garnett outside the Celtics’ locker room immediately after the game. He then tried to confront Garnett later as the Celtics were boarding their team bus to leave the Garden. When asked about the incident Anthony says Garnett “Crossed The Line“
To make matter worse – Lala spent New Year’s Eve partying in Miami South Beach with her family members Po and Dice and Melo was nowhere in sight. The star tweeted “Getting ready to shut down Miami TONIGHT. Happy New Year!” La La tweeted from South Beach on New Year’s Eve.” Lala was in attendance at the Garden for Monday night’s game but she had been absent from previous games compared to last season [where she attended each game and traveled on the road with Melo. ] The on and off disappearing act from the two has everyone questioning their relationship status.
Lala and Melo have not to make a statement about their relationship status.
