Earlier this week – pop singer , Justin Beiber was photographed smoking [what appeared to be] “WEED“with a group of friends. A few minutes after the leaked photos were released on TMZ media site, Beiber became a trending topic on every social media platform. Now -Justin has been very tight-lipped since the photos aired, but representatives of his camp are said to be “highly upset” by the leaked photos [especially since security was present at the venue]. There is reportedly a new online campaign/petition going around to STOP Justin Beiber from “smoking pot” and its called “CuttingForBeiber“. Now, the controversy surrounding this particular petition is that teenagers are uploading graphic pics of their wrists and arms ‘slashed’ from blood. One fan photo’ed her self right after she performed the act while showing the blade she allegedly used. .
I really hope this was a joke because although this is plain FOOLISH in my book this is also a SERIOUS MATTER. Some people are calling the photos fake and or from 4Chan users. The “4Chan” company had pulled a similar stunt on Beiber fans before; requesting them to cut the hair to hep Justin [who was falsely alleged to be battling cancer at the time]. I’ve chosen not attach all of the photos as a result but I wanted to show one image to bring awareness to my younger PLUM’s who may see this as trend, or new fad there. “Self Mutilation” of any kind should not be tolerated for social recreation or laughter.
” Psychologists list cutting as a major illness where teenagers look for attention and validation by harming themselves. The practice is similar to those who abuse drugs or alcohol and for those that have eating disorders.”
