In a more candid interview, Mariah Carey sat down with Barbara Walters where she talked about up her public televised feud with Nicki Minaj during the American Idol auditions back in October of 2011.
In the interview Mariah Carey stands by her truth and says that Nicki Minaj did threaten to kill her, and therefore she hired more security as a result.
“It felt like an unsafe work environment,” Carey said. “Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, it’s not appropriate. I’m a professional. I’m not used to that type of environment.”….
And then Mariah speaks on why she hired security:
“I just felt it was the appropriate thing to do,” she said. “Sitting there on the road with two babies, I’m not going to take any chances.”
Sidebar: With most of the judges averaging anywhere from 15-22 million per season – Why does any of judges have to hire security?.Shouldn’t there be hired security on set – after-all this is a multi-million dollar show and I’m almost certain that the producers could afford it. Unless – Mariah Carey was referring to security outside of the Idol studio.
Mariah Carey [who has been deemed as the best selling female of all time for breaking music records and selling 200 million albums sold -to date] also talked about her new new album [which is to debut in the coming months] motherhood, and other future projects that are in the works for her.
