Where do I begin with this episode. I actually missed last night airing of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ but I surely caught up this afternoon on my way home [via my ipad] and all I can say at the moment is Kenya Moore. In last night’s episode Kenya added more fuel to her own fire during the ladies trip to Anguilla. Cynthia and Peter put together a couples getaway trip and all the ladies [including newcomer Porsha and her NFL hubby Cornell ] was invited to tag along. Well, despite the ambiance and beauty of the island, things got ugly [real quick] when Kenya [the former Miss USA – who mandates respect based off of her former title] began flirting too closely with Apollo [Phaedra Parks husband]
Personally, I was shocked by the entire exchange between Kenya and Apollo and surprised that the “southern bell/queen of class and proper etiquette“, Phaedra played quietly as Kenya and Apollo flirted publicly during the couples poolside retreat. Things got even more heated when Apollo picked Kenya up [while touching on her booty] and the two took a nose dive in the pool. Not only did Phaedra and the other couples catch a ‘ting‘ from watching it all go down, Kenya Moore’s man [Walter- the one she wants to marry so desperately] played quietly on the sidelines as if he done got his own epiphany [that Kenya is probably not the marrying type- for him at least.
So what’s the issue here?
Apollo is a married man and blatantly flirted and disrespected his lady publicly and in front of her face, and Kenya [who upholds herself as an independent self-made woman] showed her low-down dirty ways as she confidently flirted with a married man in front of her man. I’m sorry Kenya gets ‘no brownie points‘ for that behavior -and she was out of line for her actions. However, it does take ‘two to tangle‘ so Apollo enters the Hall of Shame for his actions as well. Now Ms. Phaedra Parks also get inducted to the Hall of shame today for showing up to breakfast the following morning in a see-through mesh outfit [which showed both her thong and booty] in front of the other couples as well.
I was waiting for the Phaedra to kick out a few profanity words [similar to what she did when she talked about Cynthia absence from her son’s birthday party] but it seems that she opted to get her man’s full attention in an entirely new way. SMH!
