The Dive Singer who opend up to Oprah Winfrey last month about his previous meltdown on stage whil e In the beginning of the video Usher plays back the image of his meltdown the while the words, Hopeless, Unappreciated, Paralyzed and Numb speak out in the background.
In the song Usher talks about his breakthrough while noting that one must go ‘Numb’ in order to overcome their greatest challenges. Usher comes face to face with all his demons and decides he’s no longer going to remain “Numb” and finally breaks through the glass box he was dancing inside of throughout the entire video. Usher sings:
