Actress, Stacey Dash is getting alot of flack for her endorsement for presidential candidate, Governor, Mitt Romney. Dash publicly announced her support for Romney via twitter and boy did she ruffled many feathers. Just seconds after her tweet people began spewing ‘horrible’ and ‘vicious’ statements about her. Now, many people are weighing in on this subject, as some people feel that Dash is voting for the “wrong team’, and others feel that the attacks on Dash are racially motivated, given that she is a black woman voting for a “white” candidate.
One person wrote on twitter:
You’re an unemployed black woman endorsing Mitt Romney. You’re voting against yourself thrice, you poor beautiful idiot.”
Stacey Dash recently appeared on the Piers Morgan Show where she defended her support for Romney. According to Dash [who voted for President Obama in the last term], Mitt Romney appeals to more of her views on the country’s future than Obama. Listen to her response.
Sidebar: It is everyone’s god given right to vote for who they want to be and whether people feel she is supporting the wrong team -so what? I just love how Stacey Dash quoted Martin Luther King towards the end of interview saying that she chose Romney: “Not because of his color but the content of his character.”
Whoopi Golderg defended Dash on ‘The View’ after learning that Dash was being threatened by people on twitter. Whoopis said.
She’s entitled — and she’s a nice girl… this isn’t someone who went out and killed somebody. What the hell you people sending her crap like this for?!
The reason she is being attacked is because she is black and the feeling is black people should not be voting for Romney.She is being attacked because she has a different view from other people
And I think you don’t like somebody’s views, that’s okay, but to hand somebody death threats because — it’s the same thing with Bristol Palin — what the hell! What’s wrong with us that this is what we do?!
